The biggest game in world club football as the two biggest football clubs in the world go head to head in El Clásico.
Last season, a draw and a Real Madrid victory helped Los Blancos win only their third title in 11 years; Barça had won La Liga seven times in that period.
However, it is fair to say, neither club are at the peak of their powers this season.
Real Madrid started the campaign by amassing 10 points from their first four games but have had a disastrous week.
First, last Saturday, newly-promoted Cádiz won 1-0 in the Spanish capital.
Then, on Wednesday evening, Shakhtar Donetsk found themselves 3-0 up at half time at Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano.
Goals from Luka Modrić and Vinícius Júnior did get Real back into it but the Ukrainian champions held on four a 3-2 victory.
Real Madrid have never failed to get out of a Champions League group in their history.
But, given that Internazionale Milano and Borussia Mönchengladbach are the other teams in Group B, they’ll have to up their game.
First though, Zinedine Zidane will need to see a reaction from his players.
As for Barça, they’re currently three points behind their great rivals, all be it with a game in hand.
They too suffered their first defeat of the season seven days ago, going down 1-0 at Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez to Getafe.
