On Wednesday evening, Manchester United were truly shambolic in a 2-1 defeat to İstanbul Başakşehir at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu.
That was the Süper Lig champions first ever UEFA Champions League win.
It was also a bitter blow for the Red Devils as, wins over Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig in the Champions League, had been papering over the cracks of their Premier League form.
Man United currently sit 15th in the table having lost 1-0 to Arsenal last Sunday.
This means they’ve amassed just seven points from their six matches so far, beating only Brighton and Newcastle.
Can Solskjær’s side reignite their season with a victory here?
As for Everton, has the bubble burst?
Carlo Ancelotti’s side started with four consecutive league wins and, in their fifth game, held Liverpool to a 2-2 Merseyside Derby draw.
However, since then, they’ve lost back to back games, at Southampton and then at Newcastle a week ago.
They were without Séamus Coleman, Lucas Digne, James Rodríguez and Richarlison for the latter showing that the squad depth just isn’t there yet.
