Rapid Wien dropped into the Europa League after being eliminated from the Champions League at the third round playoff stage.

The Austrian side defeated NK Lokomotiva to reach the final playoff stage of qualifying.

Rapid then lost to KAA Gent 2-1, falling into the Europa League and into Group B where they will face Arsenal, Dundalk and Molde FK.

Currently, Dietmar Kühbauer’s team are sat second in the Austrian Bundesliga after collecting 10 points from their first four games.

Arsenal lose to Man City

Arsenal suffered their second defeat of the season as they lost to Man City 1-0 on the weekend.

Raheem Sterling’s first-half strike proved enough to claim Pep Guardiola’s side all three points.

However, the Gunners have made a positive start to the season under Mikel Arteta with the Spaniard bringing a sense of identity of Arsenal’s play.

Arsenal’s players seem to have bought into Arteta’s management and the north Londoners have made big strides this term.

The Gunners are looking to better their performance in the Europa League campaign which saw them exit at the round of 32 last season.
